 Daaggai warroo deh.  You are right standards are absent in some people here.  Mediocrity and Low Expections drive them. Now 'turn coats' are more respected than the consistent opponents of the criminality of Jammeh.  Asking questions and stating facts are equated with character assassination. The Joe Sambous and Prince Obrien Cokers who have been consistent in their opinions and positions concerning things Gambian are insulted for exposing the naked reality of Professor Dr Amadou Scattered Janneh's record.  We are being battered with the prison sojourn of Janneh as a sacrifice he paid in the name of the 'people'.  Mandela my foot.  Dr Janneh is no Mandela and will never be.  What kind of nonsense and insult is that. Comparing a 'turn-coat' and treacherous enabler like Janneh with Mandela is a travesty.
 
I just don't get it, have Femi Peters, yourself not gone to prison for your beliefs and stance.  The last time i check Peters is still in the Gambia doing what he could to expose Jammeh.  You Chongs, have been busy doing what you could to expose Jammeh from your station without diminishing other peoples efforts.  Now haven't Darboe, OJ, Halifa and many more not suffered under Jammeh, yet they still are on the ground fighting under very difficult conditions in their own way to free Gambia from the criminal and his supporters. 
 
Yet those i see in these forums defending Professor Janneh are the noisiest in shouting down the opposition leaders as selfish, power hungry, tribalists and what have you who put their interest before country.  And this based on some warped and distorted understanding of the right to criticise.
 
I am really troubled by the craziness here.  Koto Prince Obrien is just putting the record straight concerning these 'Sahi laka lakas'.  I hope he continues the noble process he started in exposing the liKes of Dr Janneh, for as a respected elder we need his guidance in these our troubled struggle.

Really baffling the inconsistency of some people. They spend a lot of time shouting, huffing and puffing and exaggerating the spinelessness of the leaders of the established political parties on the ground in name of their God given democratic rights to voice their opinions however hackneyed these may be [Personally the political leaders on the ground are far braver and authentic than most of us staying far away from home pretending to be more concern than any living being about the goings on in the Gambia].   
 
These lot are ready to accept 'turn-coats and intellectual prostitutes' as our Mandelas and what not for some strange reasoning.  Worrying!  It seems one can go prostitute themselves to the tyrant Jammeh in the name of contributing their share to national development, then gets thrown out, get a couple of t-shirts and make attempts to distribute them to a handful of followers, get arrested and thrownto  prison Waalla yai Jammbarr yeeh Jamm~yeeh.
 
Now, is it a sin to state facts for posterity and not be tarred with assassinating the character of Professor Amadou Scattered Janneh and his likes.  Men, what is wrong with stating facts? 
 
No wonder the messages about Jammeh's brutality are becoming more confused everyday, reason why many ignore the Gambian diaspora and their concerns.

Am I correct to conclude that a more palatable turn-coat in Amadou is more important than those killed, tortured, maimed, or made to disappear by Yaya while Amadou was SOS and breaking bread with Yaya? Yes, Amadou is a Gambian and has a right to associate with whom ever, including Yaya. What he does not have a right to is to speak for Gambians without first coming to terms with his opportunism and it appears he has not lost a beat. One thing is certain, Amadou is going to be reminded who he is and will hear from some of us as long as he continues to be who he is - "a palatable turn-coat". I am noticing a line being slowly visible in the topic of Amadou and I think in the interest of our struggle, folks should volunteer any potential conflicts of interest. If folks want to come to Amadou's defense, they should not cherry pick what they want to present, but look at the sum total of the parts.

Hi Everyone,
While it is not my intention to defend Dr. Scattred Janneh for whatever role he may have played in helping to prop up the Jammeh regime, but I do agree with some people that the very fact that he did not do as most others before him did, that is to stay mute and expect to be recycled when he was sacked, but instead he came out in the open to try and change the system means that he deserved some respect and commendation.
We have seen how so many people who had been sacked and humiliated still not only kept so mute expecting to be recycled but some of them even went ahead to write letters to the president to renew their support and allegiance
