The debateis healthy and personally I would have loved to participate more in defense ofthe truth and what benefits Gambia at this juncture. I am running a rack so I will keep it shortand sweet.
There is nodoubt in my mind that Dr. Amadou Scattered Janneh is guilty by association to aregime that only Allah (swt) knows what they did and what they didn’t do astheirs of terror came in chunks some of which has been erased as a result ofdeath of major participants, purposely done for burying evidence. So, thosethat are challenging Dr. Janneh have every legitimate right to do so, to askquestions about what he is privy to and how much of that he participated in. Iadmire some of those strongly challenging Dr. Janneh since there are woundsthat won’t heal no matter how much justice came to light, come what may.
It is alsomy understanding that Dr. Janneh is still subscribed to these forums. Pleasecorrect me if I am wrong guys. As such,I see no reason why he can’t step in to help dissect this debate. If he is gettingquoted on ‘face book’, I see no reason why he can’t come back to a place heonce participated in as an influential Gambian figure. He must swallow his pride;accept the embarrassment that came with it, and move along aside everyone elsedoing their little to move our nation forward. The danger in defending some of these politicians is they change overnight. In Defenseof Uncle DA, Karim, Demba and the rest, I don’t see any unethical undertaking. It is a debate and we need to hear the other side. We areall talking about the same thing in different ways. They are not saying thatDr. Janneh shouldn’t be accountable, rather they are saying let us calculateand accept the fact that he is not mute. As such people should take a note of to express their comments. No doubt that their participation helped shape this debate.
In closing,I would also like to sincerely adopt our own LJD’s take on this, thus “I here restate my view thatI am for embracing Dr Janneh at this critical juncture of the struggle againstthe lawless public space in The Gambia. As a colleague, not my hero!”

Pa, Saikou.. Am not defending Dr. Janneh and I told you that.. You should equally be careful of the allegations against the Dr.. May be you should read Mafanta and see the counter argument against Dr. Janneh..
I don't owe you or anybody an apology for cautioning over prosecution of this case... We simply don't gain anything from it and that is my point and will always be. So let's not rush to conclusion because we despise what the Dr. Did.. Wait for the facts and note we are all entitle to our independent analysis and conclusions.. We should agree to disagree and move on..anayab!!!

Demba, you should do yourself a favor and quit serving as Dr. Janneh's lead Defense Attorney. You once said you've never met or spoken to Dr. Janneh before, but at the same time you have the (for lack of better term) guts to accord him a lot of credit and admiration for his so called bravery and selflessness after his humiliating hard fall. It is just embarrassing to receive these revelations about your hero while he was in office. I warned that it was unwise for you to unilaterally avail yourself to Janneh's defense before you even know much about him. I also told you that it was not so much of what Dr. Janneh publicly said about his actions while in office, but insteadn, any sensitive information he has held back thus far. Common sense teaches you that Dr. Janneh, who by your own account, doesn't know you, not close to you, would not surrender his top secrets to you. You said Dr. Janneh only served 8 months in the Jammeh Cabinate, we now know, at least by Prince's account, to be a misleading statement. Janneh in fact served 15 months, You also alleged that it was Jammeh who went for Janneh, which by many accounts was not the case, the list goes on and on. I think your consistent attempt to dilute the PPP regime into this current discussion is clearly a sign of desperation, too irrelevant and evasive on your part. I personally took a pause to see if you or some who has the same talking points as you would come up with a different data refuting that of Prince, instead here you come again swinging at everyone. Now we know your Professor's views on journalists and journalism while he was licking Yaya's boots. You take this positive scrutiny of Dr. Janneh personal. I would suggest that you go ahead and apologize to all for your misleading statements in support of Janneh. At this point, you may wanna consider entering into a plea-bargain on behalf of your client.
