Thanks for sharing Edi. It is sometimes refreshing to see people standing up to what is not right in Gambia.  I think the minority leader triggered this and even asked to meet the President.

Now, imagine if they have 10 - 14 strong voices in the house constantly challenging the status quo? There are several ways of challenging and forcing a dictatorial regime to succumb to changes... The presidential platform is not the only way to change the status quo in Gambia.  If the opposition had formed a tactical alliance and got at least five of their leadership in the house, we would have seen some difference in how the government is run in Gambia... They could have forged a better alliance with the press and other in active civil society groups to challenge the status quo particularly the media censorship...

But nope the same old formula expecting different results... two steps forward three steps backward will never see progress..
