For the records, I do not know Mr. Tijan Jaiteh but can he clarify what he mean by:

"he has a partnership with the UK-based kit designer will be giving out a percentage of the sales from his new business back to the Gambia Government through his Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh. "

Is he not paying value added tax (VAT)? Is he not paying those transporting the container to his warehouse? or the warehouse owner for his service? or the "leberes" for unpacking the boxes, or the Daily Observer and other media houses for spreading the news (aka advertising)? I think that's more than enough give back to the community.

The President has quiet a lot on his plate and should not be bothered with receiving "a percentage of the sales" on behave of the government".

Gambian international Tijan Jaiteh will soon start selling quality footballing materials with his first consignment of sporting gears set to arrive in the country next week. These materials will include a container load of football kits, tracksuits, football boots and balls amongst others. The materials which are all Umbro brand will be sold to Gambians at reduced prices.

This information was revealed to Observer Sports by the Sandefjord player who is currently in the country on his annual Christmas leave following the end of the Scandinavian football season.

Tijan who also revealed that he has a partnership with the UK-based kit designer will be giving out a percentage of the sales from his new business back to the Gambia Government through his Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh.

The former Gambia U-17, U-20 and U-23 player says it is now time to give back to a government that has invested so much on them. He further stated that the Gambia under the leadership of President Jammeh has invested a lot in sports, football in particular, and this is the only way they can reciprocate the kind gesture.
