Competition:
Apps for African City Life
Ericsson
launched of a regional competition for application
developers, startups, and
visionaries
living in sub-Saharan Africa. This regional competition
is called âApps for
African
City Life,â and it is part the global 2013 Ericsson
Application Awards (EAA 2013).
Teams
are required to develop an application based on the
Android platform that
addresses
the theme, âApps for African City Lifeâ which is
designed to promote the
development
of innovative ideas and mobile applications to address
situations
specific
to urban centers across the region.
Ericsson
will accept entries in two categories: one for students
and the other for small
and medium-sized enterprises (< 100 employees)
across sub-Saharan Africa.
Applicants
have until January 10th, 2013 to register their team,
and may submit their
idea on or before January 25th, 2013.
