Sorry for my late response to your inquiry. I was on the road shortly after my last post, until now. Until an independent person comes here to tell us he is actually alive and well can we conclude that. By now we all know the tricks of these criminals. Why would a government arrest a citizen, especially, someone who killed nor maimed anyone, and deny his family and anyone access to him? The plausible conclusion at this time is that he may have been killed like they did Chief Manneh and continue to tell the world they do not have him; beaten to a coma; or have been severely damaged, the reason why they do not want anyone to see him. We cannot give these brutes the benefit of doubt. No Gambian deserves this treatment and so, we continue to be silent until the next Baba Leigh or a brother, sister, or neighbor near us. Again, if an Imam can be a victim with no chance, what about the ordinary Joe? This cannot and should not continue. I wished I could give you good news.
Joe

Right on the money, Kejau. Scary report indeed! It all comes down to Jammeh's track record. Certainly, it is hard to trust a loved child to a hungry reptile like Jammeh.

Make it a progressive day.....Keep them coming.

Best always,

Yero

Thanks Yero.

Baba Leigh's abduction is a nightmare. Banka is collecting the legal defense contributions but there is very little news from or about his legal defense team as to the state of any habeas corpus, etc. The report from Freedom although does not make that much sense, it is very scary. Freedom reported that Baba was reportedly seen with Sulayman Badjie, supposedly a major general whose car was to be searched, but major general are not searched, for they use flagged staff cars and no soldier stop them at checkpoint. The scary bit however is, why is Yaya keeping him in, may be because he is seriously injured from torture especially after reports that he was admitted to a private ward.
