Dr Jallow,

I am not mistaken. The depiction is clear and it is about a well educated
but overly arrogant and a grotesque narcissist in the opposition circle who
cares about nothing but his personal grandeur. There is only one such
person and his name is Halifa Abacarr Sallah of Serrekunda. That is not a
perception but an incontravertable fact.

I perfectly understand why you chose to labour hard on this but the
fundamental fact is; it doesn't change the narrative and I am certainly not
imposing anything on you here.

If you truly do not mean Halifa Sallah in your mind, then inadvertently it
is him you have depicted for it is only him in the opposition circle who
has such idiosyncrasies. They are preculia to him and only him.

I think you should be proud that you've done a good job here, Dr. Halifa
needs to be called out for what he is, not just by me but all of us.

Hooops! The disciples will be descending in a minute. Just watch.

Thanks
Daffeh

the truth of my position. The point is, our perceptions of Halifa Sallah
differ. I see him as a great human being who, like all of us has his
personal faults but who is nevertheless a very decent and enlightened
individual. Perhaps you know that I have had some disagreements with Mr.
Sallah in the past and I certainly do not subscribe to his political
ideology. But that said, my relationship with Halifa is one of mutual
respect. If I need to criticze him, I will do so in good old plain English
and not use satirical metaphors. In my opinion, he deserves better than
that from me. Not so the real Heyhey Nopilen who, again in my perception -
which may not be other people's perception - is an insentive windbag and a
totally clueless and hyper-arrogant dude who likes to rattle his imaginary
mental sabre and make funny noises all over the place.

concerned - and in this case I know better since I am the author - Heyhey
Nopilen is not meant to depict Halifa Sallah for whom I have great respect.
So Daffeh, no cover blown here yet. Perhaps you may want to try again?

no doubt the real name of the character you depitched is Halifa Sallah, the
self proclaimed Grand Ayatollah of Last Bundung. What you summed up in this
article is a character full of grotesque narcissism and personal
grandiosity and that is, without a doubt, plainly and truely Halifa Sallah.

Heyhey Nopilen, was an invincible guy whose word was gold and whose sight
was silver. And we > To Search in the Gambia-L archives, go to:
