Daffeh,

Fanatic: is a person marked or motivated by an extreme, unreasoning enthusiasm, as for a cause. As for you, your only motivation is hatred for the person of Halifa... When it comes to him everyone here can attest that you falsely refuse to be objective because of your years of hatred for a fellow human being fighting the same fight... Even when he made a good and honest gesture towards your party, you have always found a way to throw hate at him...

Many of us are critical of Halifa and other leaders but many as well refused to be blinded by one side... So I hope you will take Baba's advice and start to open your eyes towards other fellow human beings regardless of how much you disagree with them....

There is the wise, the fool and the fanatic.(George Sarr).. we all belong to one group or another.... let's view ourselves in how we interact with others... Count how many people you have bumped heads with even in your own camp.... Education is supposed to make sure better and smarter human beings Daffeh.... No offense intended really...

Demba,

Fanaticism is about uncritical enthuiasism about something. So am not sure if that is the right word to use because I am being critical. Anyway, if Halifa can have a small fanatic taliban like followership, then it is inspiring that there are others like myself who detest to everything about his narcissism, profound arrogance and wishful grandiose. So is the beauty of democracy.

Thanks
Daffeh

There is only one such person and his name is Halifa Abacarr Sallah of Serrekunda. That is not a perception but an incontravertable fact.

>> I do not "feel obliged to come out this way" Daffeh. I am merely stating the truth of my position. The point is, our perceptions of Halifa Sallah differ. I see him as a great human being who, like all of us has his personal faults but who is  nevertheless a very decent and enlightened individual. Perhaps you know that I have had some disagreements with Mr. Sallah in the past and I certainly do not subscribe to his political ideology. But that said, my relationship with Halifa is one of mutual respect. If I need to criticze him, I will do so in good old plain English and not use satirical metaphors. In my opinion, he deserves better than that from me. Not so the real Heyhey Nopilen who, again in my perception - which may not be other people's perception -  is an insentive windbag and a totally clueless and hyper-arrogant dude who likes to rattle his imaginary mental sabre and make funny noises all over the place.

Perceptions are subjective and what you see may not be what I see. So while respecting your right to interpret my work, please allow me to say that as far as I am concerned - and in this case I know better since I am the author - Heyhey Nopilen is not meant to depict Halifa Sallah for whom I have great respect. So Daffeh, no cover blown here yet. Perhaps you may want to try again?
