This was addressed to Mbodge but has my name all over it and I will 
therefore, respond to Sidi. It is very condescending of Sidi to insult 
folks who criticized his decision to go work for a known butcher by 
labeling them my choir. Obviously Sidi has no respect for himself to in 
this day and age try to use seniority to assault the character of these 
fine gentlemen that descent people on this and other distro have high 
respect for. All part of a pattern of always projecting himself as more 
worthy than thou. That is a tactic he used before he joined Yaya as he 
lulled folks to sleep. A tactic his generation also like to use is to 
talk about their perceived enemy's family or parents by virtue of them 
being around as long as corn. None of that will work. I hope they do not
 go that route with me for I will give it back in full and then some.

 if you are going to teach me a lesson, then you will have to do way 
more than just writing rubbish here. You will have to kill me to 
accomplish that promise. Titarou Gi Yengaluma, Ap Bow La Dong. You said a
 lot and I do not know if I have time to respond to each point, but 
since this is going to be a long walk, am sure I will cover the distance
 at some point. Sidi, I said you were arrested and whisked in a truck 
and you were brought to a commission, Paul or other wise. I also wrote 
that the nature of the inquiry was in reference to your wife's jewelry 
(excuse me Matarr for a minute). I read that some where. That write-up 
was some eight years ago and I am digging the records so please bear 
with me. The readership here is very smart and can smell a scheme from a
 mile away. How come I also said that: You lobbied for a job from Yaya; 
You betrayed the trust of folks who confided in you; You were on Gambia L
 and Gambia Post always playing neutral and when Yaya does the dumbest 
or most cruel thing, you never address the dirt but to play adviser - If
 I was the President I would have done it this way and that. How come 
you are not dwelling on those? Now, you know that Joe writing that you 
were arrested, brought to a commission, or inquiry about jewelry is not 
what Gambians want to hear you discuss over and over. You also know that
 spending the overwhelming majority of your interview telling us where 
and who you ever worked with and for is neither here nor there. How come
 you are very economical about How You Ended Up on Yaya's Lap? Sidi, 
please do not assault our intelligence. Folks saw through your parade. 
You do not want to discuss the main issue and that is, what triggered 
you to sell your soul? Where you out of a job? You wanted power and privilege that bad? Where you suffering from depression? Your 
supporters will be misleading you if they tell you that you are 
manhandling Joe by repeating over and over the peripheral issues of 
whether you were arrested, truck or no truck, jewelry or no jewelry. You
 know what people want to hear from you. Man up Sidi! Yes, I know I owe 
you evidence of where I got info. about your arrest and circumstance and
 I am combing the archives and in time I will find something or someone 
will forward me something. So please be patient on that. You know I am 
not running anywhere. Now that we get that settled, the floor is all 
yours and Gambians are all ears. Please do not repeat what you told 
Fatou, for you said nothing of substance.

I also read you 
referencing Sanusi Owens and that he was the only person who challenged 
me about a write-up I did on you. I do not recall that. I know Sanusi 
and am sure he is reading. Sanusi, please refresh my memory where we 
discussed Sidi. I know it was Sidi who injected you in the exchange and 
am not saying it did not happen, but I do not recall having that 
exchange where you challenged me on this issue, as alleged by Sidi. It 
is not my intention to drag you into this, but I just want you to 
refresh my memory. As a Bean-counter, too many numbers occupy me 
upstairs. I will spare Prince from your silliness. Sidi, it appears you 
are trying to disarm these people as if you think they know something 
you do not want out, no? Then, why them two, of everybody here? Just 
curious. Please do not for a second think I do not have connections too.
 I also noticed your attempt to disarm Mbodge by dropping all sorts of 
names from his family and relations. What has that to do with the truth?
 Mbodge made a specific statement regarding your conduct and he is not 
the only one on that score, why not just stick to the specifics? Again, 
you are going Ole School on us. Mbodge has been here with us as long as 
you and I have and everyone her knows he holds his own and is more than 
capable forming his opinion and he does it daily. How can you even think
 to insult his character and tag him as a Yobalema. How? All because you
 are evading the elephant in the room - your Kakatar character. also, 
continue to talk about family and friends as if you are the only one 
with such. We do not want to hear that and it is irrelevant. It is your 
business who your relied on in your depressed state after your disgrace.
 

Sidi, again, you are a fraud. You knew all that Gambians were 
going through under Yaya a good decade before you joined him. You knew 
you were working very hard to seek a job from Yaya, yet you were 
so-called networking with the unsuspecting. That is why many here (not 
Joe, for I knew better) were stunned when it was announced that you were
 going to serve Yaya. Now, you see a scheme to get plugged in and to 
commence to shamefully pretend to have the answers to the Gambian 
problem. Who gives a hoot what struggle you join? Who has ever said you 
cannot join any gig you fance? All folks demanded is that you do not be a
 turncoat and then come here to pretend to know the answers to our 
problem, just as you thought you were slick and can play doubles on 
those you associated with here. How do you sell your soul and when you 
are kicked out, only for you to turn around to tell Gambians what they 
are doing wrong and who should lead and who should give way from the 
opposition? Are you serious? What the hell are you drinking that is not 
agreeing with you? Yes, I know I am a thorn in the flesh for the 
expedient type, but I am sure my fellow Gambians would like to hear it 
from the horses mouth. I also know there are those that see this 
exchange as a distraction and I know where their heart lies. A building 
with a corrupt foundation will collapse on its own weight, in time. Time
 will take care of the fraud. For now, please charm us through how you 
get to Yaya's lap - that is the bigger story here. I will never stop 
asking you this question as long as you play dodge-ball with the issue. 
None of that I made a mistake, Dafai Yomba Torop! One favor before I 
leave. Stop trying to drag as many people in this exchange. Even if they
 join, it you who owe Gambians an explanation of your behavior.

I cannot win for losing.  First, I was accused of being an enabler of Jammeh and his murderous regime because I decided to join his Cabinet.  When I was fired there was jubilation in Gambia-Lville and Postville,"daff ko moi" "turncoat" "corrupt opportunist"- the whole shebang.  I went on about restructuring my life by corralling kids and family members to ensure their lives are not unnecessarily disturbed beyond a tolerable level.  I thank family and friends for a relatively smooth transition to a new life in America.  Some, not all, criticized me for being aloof and a member of the elite/intellectual class, none of which is true, of course.  


Then, I granted a single unsolicited interview to an online paper about my life's ups-and downs, as they say in the vernacular, and all hell broke loose, because I addressed a couple of lies told about me by Joe Sambou - lies that you, Mboge, and the rest of the St. Joe's Tabernacle Choir helped incubate in the bowels of the Gambia-L and The Gambia Post for nearly a decade.  Meanwhile, they keep excusing his terror tactics as 'Joe's being Joe".  Well, I have news for you folks "Let Sidi be Sidi."  If Joe has scared the Bejesus out of you, move over and spare me your condescending remarks about Joe exercising his right to free speech, as if that right is absolute or that others do not have the right to self defense.  I want one, just one example of one public admonishment of Joe Sambou by one of his friends..  You are all scared of this guy.  So pleas spare me your calls and emails.  Whatever you want to say to me, say it in public for all to read.  


At least one prominent member of the cyber community made an observation which I'd like to quote, but reluctant to reference his name for fear of Joe's hounds being unleashed.  This is what he said which summaries more succinctly a sentiment, I believe, shared by a good number of people who have since contacted me by telephone, email and on Facebook.  The gentleman said and I quote " This is the first time I laid such a comprehensive knowledge of his person and background."  He continued, referring to the interview, " If not for the part that landed him in Jammeh's dirty regime, which came to define his character under Gambia's activism online mostly accompanied with debates without follow up actions, everything else of this man seems cool, going by this interview."  This gentlemen's reaction is posted on the Gambia-L.  You cannot miss it because it sticks out like a sore thumb as the solitary entry in a threat of threads carrying the label 'Sidi Sanneh'.  No comments offered on this thread because it is not sheathing with hate.  In stead it was honest and truthful, and the truth hurts, especially to those who feed on venom to nourish their hateful souls.  Joe's posts are popular and in great demand because they are venomous that stokes the fear and suspicion inherent in all of us.  He can dial it up or down notch to get the desired effect.  Believe me, he knows what he's doing. 


Within the American political scene this type of rhetoric that Joe Sambou employs with devastatingly gusto is often referred to as "red meat" which right wing/racist politicians like Sarah Palin use to get the tribal elements within the Republican Party riled up.  These are the hard core elements that form the core.  To keep them agitated, these right wing politicians you must say things like 'Obama was not burn in America, he's a socialist ( a big insult here ) or Michelle Obama hates America.  Joe Sambou has perfected this technique which he interfaced with lies.  Lies that will not go unexposed.  Mboge, Joe Sambou is your friend, ask him to provide the newspaper clipping(s) that reported on me being arrested and thrown at the back of the truck with Tombong Saidy and the conclusions and recommendations of the Paul Commission's Report.  The only person who ever challenged him of this specific point was Sanusi.  Joe The Liar Sambou's response was 'I was being sarcastic.'  Now he is being asked to provide proof, suddenly the onus is not on the accuser but on the accused to go look for the evidence.  Joe being Joe, you are guilty until proven innocent. Until he provide the proof, I will continue to call him a liar.  He has been lying about me for too long while the Tabernacle Choir sat silently on the sideline, browbeaten into submission by a junk yard dog named Joe Sambou. He is the cancer that must either be excised or chemotherapied ( if there's such a word) into remission, if your so-called struggle stands a chance of success. 


Back to you Mboge, you said that folks object not to my joining the fight (as if I asked to join or need permission from you or anyone else, for that matter) to end the Jammeh regime but rather they object, I presume that includes you, to my "pretensions that they ( including Amadou and Sedat) know better and their annoying dissing of the opposition parties and politicians with their so-called humble observations."  Show me, Mboge, where I , Sidi Sanneh, dissed any of the opposition party leaders. In my statement, I acknowledged my great respect for them.  I know them all, except, perhaps, Nyassi.  I had professional relationship with Halifa when he was at Social Welfare.  In fact, I was the one who recommended him to be the Secretary of the Assets Commission which he accepted but resigned even before the first sitting (or immediately thereafter) to form PDOIS with Seedia. Halifa impressed me with his persistence and tenacity.  As Social Welfare officer, he used to produce periodic reports on the conditions of the Mile II Prisons, in which he urged government to take remedial measures to make the place and food fit for human occupation and consumption   He was genuinely concerned about prisoner welfare.  Seedia worked at Curriculum Development Center while I was at Education.  I had and continue to have great respect and admiration both as a linguist/curriculum development specialist and as a dedicated politician true to his convictions even though, like Halifa, I do not share his political philosophy.  If you want me to deal with his aspect of his life, I will more than glad to do at some other time.  I like precision  and the cautious treatment of facts.  About Ousainou, he's more like a brother to me.  our fathers were great friends.  I have seen him in action as the first Gambian Legal Draftsman.  I have nothing but admiration and respect for his intellect, his legal mind and his dedication to the rule of law.  Femmy more of a brother than a long-term neighbor.  We were both 'dongo (not ndongo) boys and shared our Lancaster Vous all throughout my High School days.  I will never be contemptuous of any of them.  I will disagree with their politics, policies and their approach to governance, and will say so in an appropriate setting, but never in a contemptuous manner or form, which is what diss means according to the urban dictionary. 


I will let you in on a little secret. The only person on this forum entitled to, and capable of, bringing Sidi Sanneh to order is Prince Obrien-Coker;  Beola, to me.  Like Femmy, Beola is a childhood friend, an elder brother.  He knows me, he knows my background, he knew Aunty Mallen and Uncle Morro. I knew Aunty Lilly Mama and the entire Obrien-Coker clan. Anything he says about me, you can take it to the bank.  Mboge, back to you again; let me assure you that the monster that Joe Sambou tried painting of me for over a decade is a far cry from who I am.  I do a lot of things, and I have the capacity of even more horrible things.  Stealing, thankfully, is not one of them.  That's why Joe Sambou's claims hurt and I will pursue him to the end.  He will be seen for the liar and hate monger he is.  You don't know me but your sister Amie knows me - she's our neighbor.  She knows my wife even better.   I like a fight but a good clean  fight.  My advise is argue your case cleanly, clearly and with facts.  Never use a broad brush to paint - a bad idea.  Take that Harvard guy who cannot even spell my name correctly ( Sidi and not Seedy ) and who, like Joe Sambou, cannot tell me from Adam quickly jumped on the bandwagon for fear of the wrath of the venomous Joe and his band of demolition derby enthusiasts,  with one of his journalistic mombo jumbos.  I can see him saying to himself since Joe and crew has listed "Seedy, Amadou Scattred Janneh and Sedat Jobe" as corrupt, I must write some stupid stuff and include their names.  It matters not if what they are being accused of it true or not.  Damn the torpedoes, Joe, full steam ahead. Look at me Joe, I deserve a brownie point. It is sickening.  This herd mentality must stop.  It is hurting your course.  To denigrate, besmirch, degrade, humiliate is not the way for you, Mboge.  Leave that to Joe Sambou and his small band of merry men of St Joe's Tabernacle Choir.  You are too decent for this sort of behavior.  Leave me with Joe.  Let me teach him a lesson or two.
