Farang, you lost me some where. Some diplomat once said that war is an extension of diplomacy. In other wards, you cannot loiter in idle diplomacy to eternity as the misery of a people doubles daily. At some point, the next logical steps must be taken, or we are forever stuck on stupid. Africans watched while Rwandans were massacred; we saw the recent carnage in Mali, Syria, and around the world, all because the world stood and watched. Gambians spent twenty years under this monster, and at the rate we are going, Yaya can do another 30 years on us, easily. Why is an armed struggle not an option if that is the last resort? I see we have danced around this for too long. All these nations that we reside in went to war to be what they are today. Do we know something that they did not know? And so, when Gambians are quick to stampede on any thought that remotely mentions an armed struggle, what do they really want? We certainly do not live in the world of Forest Gump, where life is like a box of chocolate. It is very confusing to have undergone the last 20 years with Yaya with not end in sight and for people to not even think combat is an option. If Gambians have another 30 years to deal with Yaya, they just need to say that, for that is what the current pace suggests. I know some have concerns that if they come outright to call for Yaya's head that may be the end of their visiting Gambia as long as Yaya is there, but we cannot have our cake and eat it too. Yaya has no problem calling for the head of any, why should I loose sleep calling for his head? It is either we are not serious about change or we do not want to confront our reality.
