LJD,
At least we now know that the state kidnapped and detained Imam Leigh (both criminal acts) and the announcement of President's "pardon" is a confirmation of his direct involvement in the crimes. Now what do the Gambian constitution and criminal code say about that?

Malanding,

The questions that come to mind are these: Pardoned for what crime? And why was not a release issued whae he was "arrested"? This joke of a president really takes Gambians for whatevers! This must be the shortest and most absurd of all absurdities!

Indeed the Gods must be crazy. The State kidnaps a citizen and keeps him incommunicado for over 4 months  and the Head of State issues a  "pardon" for his release. And the "Imam Rabib" does what? Auzu billah!
