Cherno & Suntou,

I equally join you as well in good faith and ask our leading online radio to be a part of this historic event... Thousands of Gambians listen to freedom and Pa Nderry and we are all in solidarity with him in the work he is doing.

Freedom is a household name in Gambia and a leader in our struggle against impunity. Therefore, no matter the circumstances, no matter the differences and no matter our individual desires and opinions about this event, a leading outlet cannot be left out of this. It doesn't look good and certainly my brother Pa Nderry is aware of this...

Some of his major inspiring guest will be in attendance and therefore it is fitting for freedom to be a part of this. So without any hidden agenda and in clear conscience, I call on the freedom team to be a part of it...

It appears though I saw Seedy Ceesay one of the Freedom editors as part of the moderators and Pa Samba is no doubt in it... so I hope we are not speculating.. and in fact Freedom is part and parcel of this... I hope so....

Pa, can clear the air for us because we all look up to him and freedom for a way forward...

Kind regards

Demba

I hope you can pasuade Mr Mbai to be positive with Gambian groupings. The struggle is bigger than any individuals and the respective platforms, if do not want to be our own little dictators, let us be restraint. Me, myself and I sydrome. And the bickering and personal attacks is unhealthy. The attack on Mr Samateh is also counter productive. The power of media is only useful if it serves beneficial purpose. We cannot be Judges of each other, but hey, a bit of tab round the back is a wake up call. The organisers have well intention, let us all give them our support. I will encourage Gambians in U.S to go. Don't wait to be contacted. The Gambia is a cake with a slice for everyone. Don't leave your slice away.
We encourage Gambians to read all online media, but also be brave enough to put us in check. Don't just be entertain by the tragedy unfolding... Cherno, good luck, the meeting is just few days away. Your nemesis Ousainou will be there as a guest alongside many other Gambians.
Thanks
SUntou

suntu, I agree with you on this if u are referring to freedom newspaper. I spoke with some of the organizers and they told me they had requested several interviews and coverage from pa nderry without success. I don't know about turning his mic against them but I think freedom should support them hollistically. I spoke with pa nderry about this and I couldn't understand why he is not supporting the effort or at least giving them airtime. I've listened several differing views on freedom including aprc supporters, so y not this group.

May it go well and contribute positively. Whatever reservations you have, speak to the organisers and contribute constructively, freedom of speech sometimes, takes a break.
