Cherno,
Thank you for putting events into context for people who may not be familiar with how petulant Nderry behaved prior to the Raleigh conference and the magnamity shown by the organizer when he showed up at the conference. Having said that, his behavior after the conference should scare anyone who wants to see a free and accountable press in post jammeh Gambia. If we let people with bully pulpits try to intimidate folks they disagree with, twist facts or outright lie about contemporary issues without challenging them, the resultant monster will be our own creation.

History is prologue. Radio is a powerful medium. It can be use for a lot good, but Rwanda taught us how it's powers could be use too instigate and inflame genocide. Our compatriots with online radio should be cognizant of this power. Free speech is nice if you are left with a country to practice it in.

My reasoning for posting this is that I think my good Ndokey pa nderry is being childish in attacking alkali conteh. Right on here, I urged him to support them as neighbours even if he may disagree with their agenda. I refer him to the fact that he gives air time to even aprc supporters so why not these fine gentlemen. Beyond that I called him several times to challenge him to support the group.

On the day of the meeting, while entering I called him and went to his house and drove with him to the conference. While driving we joked about me meeting darbo after all comments about him. At meeting Tunkara, alkali, and others welcomed him with open arms, as if nothing happened. They even invited him to be part of the media panel. They, especially Tunkara and alkali worked with him to make sure all facilities are available to him. Demba and others can corroborate my statements.

Beyond that, I'm sure he enjoyed the recognition he received from the organizers and audience. He even told me it was an opportunity to meet people he either interacted with online or over the phone.

While driving with him to his house, I urged him to support the effort further by inviting the organizers to his radio together with the guests if his time permits.

So I was disappointed to see that his first story on the meeting was to attack alkali. Personally, I think the organizers have the right to expel him from the meeting. I believe they have put in a lot of personal efforts - bringing their spouses and children to cook and serve, in addition to maintaining and hosting all those folks.

My friend need to apologise to alkali, case close.

I have so much respect for everybody but my problem with Pa is attacking every tom Samba and Bamba and he thinks he is untouchable. I do not know how people view themselves at times. When people have little fan base, they behave as if the sky would fall.  Calling people NO BODIES, is way  immoral.
> Everybody is a somebody and for Pa calling people no bardies is callous. You know some people love to defend friends even if they know their friends were in the wrong. That is what we all find ourselves in today in our homeland. It has become a Gambian thing and we've embraced it more than any black race despite we call ourselves good Muslims and good Christians.

How come among many Pa Nderry decided to interview Darboe without consulting the organizers? When several people including yourself appealed to him for coverage during the event is this not so?? I have been following the exchanges, Santou has called out Pa Nderry on his behaviors! In the spirit of accountability and human decency Pa Nderry needs to defend himself not Cherno questioning Sontou's comments all jokes aside!
> Pa Nderry and I had off line conversations many times, am sure he can attest to this. However, those conversations were geared towards fostering mutual understanding, more importantly keeping us steering in the same direction. I hope we will continue to work together, not indulge in personal attacks. Thank you.

I think the lack of emotional intelligence on his part is sad to see. In the aftermath of the event, he referred to the Railey organisers as "Nobodies", come on now Nderry.
