Very funny! Do not mind my good old friend, Karim! Well DA's political innocence is the only explanation for his naivety otherwise he must be deliberately misleading his audiences by stating that:
1. That PDOIS stance was vague and at the same time writing that PDOIS' stance has merits. How does a vague stance gets merited.
2. By declaring that there was a resolution that all should support even though he seem to be only one talking about such resolution and that was the distinguished Halifa's point. So believe me, Halifa was very nice and diplomatic as usual and calling a dishonest and insincere editor as naive.
Otherwise, do you not think Halifa has a good point about not attending as the attendance bred more problems between the parties than they were ab initio? These parties leaders were working together very productively and amicably
on the G6 political reform group and let us all hope that this conference will not endanger that relationship.
Serign: the exercise of exchanging ideas warranting expensive trips across continents could be and seems to be counter productive. It was uncle BB Dabo, our own Abdoulie Jobe, Suntou Touray, uncle Abdoulie Bojang, my able commander Chongs, who initiated this conferences, in London and it was subsequently copied and almost destroyed by Raleigh by breaking out of the modus operandi. Which was to get the diaspora groups across countries organised and then united with a single voice and demands that will be discussed on the ground by the opposition parties and hopefully agreed and if necessary amended and the subsequently a final conference of all parties, will be held in Raleigh if chosen, for instance. The next conference is being discussed is to be held in Sweden, I understand and hopefully that will be the
Scandinavian chapter.
Also mentioned by Halifa and Ousainou were the fact that we should all endeavour to unite the parties rather than separate them. It is a trend here to bash Halifa and PDOIS at every opportunity with insults and innuendos to no avail. We should desist from those practices as no PDOIS supporter bashes Ousainou here.

[log in to unmask]Thanks karim. I am not sure Kejau comprehend the scenario at play. If the statement implies, anyone out of the Gambia's political landscape is 'politically innocent', I wonder what Kejau will defend in that statement, since he is disqualify to say anything of substance as per the
remark and Halifa's calculus. I also heard Sedia making similar remark in an interview two years ago...The notion that, unless you breath in the same oxygen with the dictator, you don't understand it is a complete fallacy. May be Kejau will come up with something spectacular. Thanks

DA Jawo politically innocent, what does Halifa means? Is he trying to say, anyone away from the political landscape is politically innocent? To brand DA Jawo politically innocent is an insult to say the least. Come on, in as much we want to look the other way for the sake of Unity, this kind of statements are over the top. DA Jawo practised journalism for over God knows how long, in the Gambia, yet branding such a person politically innocent is uncall for. However, I am not surprise in Halifa arriving at such a conclusion, afterall they/he is the expert. The expertise he acquired over 30 years in politicking in the Gambia haven't produce any
tangible solution yet. DA, don't worry about the assumption of the Big man, he has it all under control.
