Mboge
I agree entirely. However, when we look at a country's professional
landscape for salvation, we use the legal profession as a yardstick.
If we take Pakistan as an example, it was the lawyers who stood up to
Musaraf. In our case, the legal professionals are up mainly to lining up
their pockets... I know the environment is aggressive and unhealthy, but if
we look at them collectively, only few border to stand up to the system.
I understand the other areas you raised are valid, but I think that always
exist in a chaotic dictatorship. People will crown themselves or those they
feel comfortable around. But this struggle will be define by what no one
expects. The element of surprise is what will undo tyrants not open tabling
of ideas. I value the Egyptian example. All the moves against Mubarack was
conducted with serious secrecy and meticulous planning, yet how can ideas
be exchange in the open against an entrench dictator.
It is a lamentable characteristics of how out of touch we have become. Yes,
it will be hard to select few to coordinate, but the answer lies in
utilizing the skills of committed brothers and sisters...How that is done
is open to discussion. Thanks
