Again, I like to speak with facts. Almost all the parastatals in the Gambia today were created by the PPP. They did not just initiated the ideas, they went on to deliver on them as well. Gamtel was renowned as one of the best in west africa and was not brought to its current level by the PPP, GPTC was still serving the country well over 5yrs after jawara, central bank is still serving the purpose it was establised for, SSHFC is also still serving its purpose and beyond; GCAA outlived Jawara, tourism is now said to be the largest contributor to the GDP and was the second largest contributor under jawara etc etc . The problem you seem to have is; you are blurring the line between the PPP as a government and civil/public service. They are two different things. Governments come and go while state institutions including the civil service remains to serve any government that may be elected into office. The latter's role is to provide policy that the former must implement. Governments only take political responsibility, not the criminal liability of civil servants or public official. Ok, I got to stop here. I am not PPP but UDP;and not for Sir DK Jawara or any of his ex-ministers but for Lawyer Ousainu Darboe and his party executive.
