Husainou, I am very sympathetic to Mr. Samateh's take on this issue. Everything he said is very true. The US did indeed invade these countries. However, they were able to force the removal of a dictatorial regime and gave the people of those nations the chance to regroup and rebuild. The Iraq's did away with Saddam and had a chance to come together and build a democracy. Their people and society had a chance to choose between going forward or fighting senseless wars killing each other. The same story goes for Afghanistan, Libya etc...

I recognize that the US sometimes goes over board and or align with the wrong side and even perpetuate some dictatorial leaders... but on balance often after they intervene the nations have a chance to pave a new way forward. America and the West will not rebuild some of these countries. The  people will have to step up and reclaim their own... they can even kick America and the West out and say not again... The Syrian people too should be given a chance by doing away with this callous regime and it would be up to their people to regroup or destroy their country... of course easier said than done but the opportunities are often there for them to take advantage of.. just my opinion on this...

Thanks

Demba

Right on Mr Baldeh the world cannot sit idle watching such carnage without action. Whatever is going on over there is subhuman . No religion or ideology could justify the killings that are going on in Syria.May peace prevail

I will be happy to know how one is certain that Asad is responsible .lets look at the following facts too.in may a un inspector claimed that it was the rebels who did the c-attact
,which was the original case, few days ago we have been reading leaks docs from weakilinks that Sadam with the blessiing of the US did use it,Now we all know what happened in Faluja, right, which means there are nations who have no right to talk about morals of war.
Us invaded Afghanistan and that country became a mess
Us invaded Irag that country is more than a mess
Us invaded Libya that country becomes a ghost of itself
Now ,  seriously will Syria be diffirent ?no
I have a solution to this crisis, let the Us tell her allies to stop supporting the jihadist fascist with weapon and money,it as simple as that and not war mongering.A Us military involment will not solve any problem but another mess
