True Yero. I am critical of Jaliba Kuyateh sometimes, but in one of his early songs, he said "In black Africa, people hardly take their heroes and good people to heart until after they die." he said then, we start to sing after them saying 'Tura yela' "the bull has fallen" meaning the great one as gone. I know it is human nature to dabble in convenient circles, but if we encourage those in public eye to write their memoirs and past, friends and foes will all benefit.

The Obama books are good examples.. it will inspire both his admirers and haters..I think we need to encourage more and better interactiveness from scholars, politicians and writers...Ideas will not be dormant, vindictiveness will be defeated and a better understanding of each other will be implanted. The journey is on. Young ones like you have a role to play. We are divided by ideas, thinking, emotion and other less or complex natures, but if we communicate positively, we can overcome the challenges. Humans will be humans, we will continue to love and hate...Regards Yero

RIP Hassa Musa.

These are very touching tributes.

There are two lost opportunities; One, a memoir from him would have been wonderful. Two, it would have been nice to have some of these tributes while he was alive.

That said, the tributes speaks volumes about the late Hassan Musa Camara. I am a great fan of people in power being humble especially with their dealings with followers.

May his soul rest in perfect peace. amen.

Best regards,
Yero

As we mark the 7th day since Uncle Hassan passed away, BB Darbo former VP, recalled his close working relationship with the late Hassan Musa, during the 1981 bloody coup. Hassan Musa was the VP then, and also acting President as Jawara was away, whilst BB was the ambassador to Senegal. Saul Saidykhan, Joey Goswell, Mai Fatty, Lawyer Darboe all has something good to say about Hassan Musa. Tomorrow on my program, the full length BB Darboe comments in English will aired on Kibaaro radio. Joey Goswell's inteview was aired on Saturday night. You can hear the tributes on Today news review in brief.
