Folks,

I join you all to show solidarity with our patriots, Mbenga, Coach and Lady Sohna. To me, these folks have done me a personal favor and I owe them forever.

That said, all of you should be very careful that you don’t give Halifa Sallah the attention he is trying to take away from these folks. It is not only unfair but very dishonest of him politically to be writing the kind of things. We will not tolerate any sort of romancing or petting this administration when people are hurting beyond belief.

-Lawyer Darboe has picked up a lot of momentum of late by countering the administration on their brutality. Currently, Halifa needed to follow Darboe’s footsteps or give us a break.

-Right after the Raleigh get-together, the same Halifa was seen coming after Modou Nyang, who despite being an active Diaspora and PDOIS militant, was only giving his honest opinion.

-Just an opinion from DA Jawo months ago was aggressively countered by this same Halifa in a way that neither made sense nor offering any good. Halifa was in rage…and he wanted to show us he can beat his chest.

-Recently, Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison and many other US representatives in the capacity of Congressmen did the same thing that Mbenga and the DUGA folks did. They were arrested for a worthy cause. Is Halifa not following the international scene anymore?

Halifa’s quoting of Dr. King in this case is very confusing and a way of distraction. It was not only misleading but quite not politically right in all sense. Dr. King organized Rallies and marched to Washington, the capital. What is stopping Halifa from calling for a rally in Banjul? If Dr. King was limited to what he could do at the material time, does that suggest that DUGA folks cannot be independent and inspire a whole world by their style of activism? Something to think about Halifa....

How Halifa of all people easily forgot that among the most democratic people that this world ever born, Nelson Mandela (the great Madiba), trained as an armed militant, instructed the defense of South Africa by any possible means, and actively participated in such fighting to defend his country. Halifa who got educated in America needs not a reminder that America is one of the best democracies on earth, and its founding fathers fought to drive away the British aggressors of King George at the time.

Halifa, we know you are reading these lines, even though you will choose to take cover with Foroyaa as your comfort zone to be launching your responses. It will be probably nice to have you on a “real time” chat. If you are tired or being intimidated enough by this regime, it is time to step aside. Personally, I suggested about a year ago, it is time for your likes to step aside and hand over the leadership Barton to the younger ones of your party, for I see you sticking to the 30-year old PDOIS agenda as barrier to some progress, especially with some of how you’ve been showcasing on us. I don’t need to via through anyone to get to God. Period! The younger ones can continue.

What happened to citizens’ being in charge of their destiny and all the good old preaching Halifa? Oh, well, talking about the drawing board! What a laughter reference. I am quite embarrassed. You guys didn’t make it in NADD, you didn’t make it after NADD, and you will not make it another tetra-NADD. You Halifa would rather support Hamat Bah as an independent candidate despite his betrayal of NADD in 2006, than working with Darboe. So essentially, refusing to unite (you as a key player whether you were wrong or right) has helped Jammeh to be winning more elections, of course combined with election fraud, terror, and all the nonsense. So what drawing board are we talking about?

If you are tired, just rest and allow us continue. We have read some other books, being exposed to some other style of activism, and have seen some other visions, and we are ready to die than to live with the nonsense of terror or any of its support pillars, be it the tyrant or any of his massage therapists. Walahi, you are lucky that the respect you earned before keeps being a seal for you now. It is easy to probably see you are losing it by the minute. This form of activism which came to define you and your party mates of late is a total distraction to what is at stake.

Long Live the Gambia!!

Long live the struggle!!!

Best regards,

Yero.
