Thanks Joe et al,I maybe wrong, but I think this whole editorial is being blown out of proportion by all and sundry as no one was calling DUGA activist, robotic, as the advise was for all young people. The gist of the editorial that most seem to be missing was that the DUGA activists were engaging in activities with 9 goals which seems unachievable to the editor. This in their view should be achievable by other means, such as demonstrations, which are better in their than allegedly committing misdemeanours. The editor, though seems to think the courts and the police in the US are controlled by the government and not are independent. They also seem to have forgotten the publicity such entries may have achieved. This is what makes a democracy and we should never think Pa Samba and others are above criticsm. After all, how many of us support coups and other activities that may be seen as criminal to achieve the ultimate goal of removing tyranny back home?Kejau

Foroyaa Editorial on Gambian Diaspora activism:" BRAIN AND NOT EMOTION IS THE KEY TO LEADEFRSHIP AND SUCCESS"Lmao. Bilai wolai I'm on my third box of Kleenex. I'm going to stop crying, and laugh out loud.If Foroyaa were to donate a $1 each time they utter rubbish to my favorite charitable fund, Save The Gambia Unneutered Cats, I'll be a very rich good Samaritan.Aren't we busy? Don't we have things to do? We have a common enemy and that key to leadership and success is getting rid of Dictator Yaya Jammeh. Anything else is idle talk and bullshit.Sent from my HTC one----- Reply message -----

Date: Sat, Oct 12, 2013 12:30 PMKejau, I think the burden is not on Pa Samba but on PDOIS. They know Pa Samba's number and could have discussed what ever idea they had in mind with him and to hear his side of the lie. They did not do that, but to send this insult into the public space about someone that worked with them (I don't know the current relationship) for twenty-five years by the time-line that is floating around. For starters, folks need to stop labeling other thoughts as emotional. Pa Samba will respond however he sees fit. This write-up is no accident and one can sense the malice embedded. Do you have anything to say about the author, who ever they may be? Did I hear you say "concern and welfare". Come on kejau, I know you want to keep the lid on this one "amongst associates", but my God, don't you think concern and welfare are a bit of a stretch? All they will get is a warning and/or probation for the siege. The US is not Gambia. It is not like they murdered or beat up the staff. What they did to Coach is equivalent to a father whooping their boy for misbehaving. Coach is more than fit to think for himself and for one to call him robot/blind follower, you cannot get lower than that. There is also something that is a pattern with PDOIS write-ups. Have you ever heard them use such description on Yaya who is murdering Gambians and has the country under siege? Yet, the same peaceniks will lash out at their associates or others in opposition Gambia. What the hell is going on? Yaya has lived like a robot and has been killing Gambians like a robot, how about PDOIS using such language on him for a change? When it comes to Yaya, they take the posture that they respect him and he pays them no mind, yet, they will throw all sorts at the rest of us. They said what they had to say, Coach will respond as he sees fit regardless how you and I feel. I am sure the Foroyaa editorial were concerned about your welfare and you should take their criticisms positively. That is the beauty of democracy and instead of attacking their stance, please try to address their concerns and if you want to be critical of their stance and way of doing things, you can do that another time. Remember, we are family afterwards. I am very disappointed by this baseless write up. I will write a fitting response to it and hopefully it will be published in the Monday issue. > Jow > > > From my Android phone on T-Mobile.
