Yero,

President Obama's speech was beautifully crafted and masterfully delivered. He demonstrated mature politics and seasoned leadership at best. With the understanding that no human is complete and without faults, I will like to say that president Obama is a charismatic leader to emulate, he puts majority of our African leaders to shame. Leadership for the most part is an individual sport, the fruits of which can help touch the lives of all or hinder the progress of most and threaten peace, stability and unity for generations. We can only continue to hope that our generation of leaders can and will provide and encourage inclusive leadership, tolerance, respect for the people and laws of the land if we must have a shot peace, progress and democracy.

The Barack Obama Exclusive

The President of the United States in his humorous nature addressed the world during his State of the Union address yesterday. Even the troublesome and one of the stubbornness Republican Speakers of the House, Boehner was seen offering smiles and cheers in the background. It says a lot about political civilization.

What I heard was a leader that cared about the citizens; one that used his effort, leadership power and resources to empower people on voice, justice, health care, jobs, education, equality and full citizenship rights.

The question bounces back to Africa and some of its leaders. What lessons do you draw from yesterday’s speech? Are you still willing to go that route where you keep insulting innocent citizens, following up on self aggrandizement, committing all forms of criminal acts of injustices and political power grabbing?

It is time for everyone to look through the mirrors in self reflection. America being one of the greatest democracies on earth, and yet some of the most humble leaders (Excuse me, Mr. War Monger George W. Bush I am yet to address you) can be found within such democracy. If you are in any position (minor or major leadership), start changing your way. If you are aspiring to lead, take great lessons from those that have done it the right way. While it is tempting and paranoia is one hell of a disease that puts people in positions to where they think they are doing the right thing, leadership should be about the welfare of the governed. It should be done with humility and sense of responsibility. Greatness of leaders lies within their sincere service to world citizens; and not how much they enriched themselves at the expense of a poor farmer in Batta-kunku who cannot even have his 3 daily meals correct. To those crooked ones, who like to attach themselves to criminal political administrations for their personal interest, please think twice. You will still be out of there one day.

People won’t stop talking about failed systems and administrators because we are not satisfied. The more that we see others do it right, the more determined we are to call on those doing it wrong to stop the impunity.

Barack –You once again make us proud. Best wishes to the rest of the presidency with more political confrontations with Speaker Boehner and the rest of those that politically matter.

Kind regards,

Yero
