Yahya/government are doing things that are undemocratic, illegal, immoral,
etc. and we opposed. He knows we don't like it.

We've never present to the government an alternative of what we stand.
Maybe we are assuming they know what we want. But even if they do, which I
believe they do to an extent - what do we expect in return? They run to us
that they know what our demands/needs are and they are changing to conform.
I wish it works like that!

Surely we've put in lots of effort. Of course we will have to do lot of the
same things we've being doing. That's simply the nature of this business.

Yet in order for it to hold - we have to be the others on the other side of
the table with formal demand against the status quo. This we've do far
failed to do!

Someone told me Yahya wouldn't listen. He might be right. But that will
last until he realize this is a force to recognize. That aside if we think
we can't drag Yahya to our side of the equation why do we think it matters
all the rest we've being doing - writings, meetings, demonstrations,
organizations, etc?

Legitimacy is ours.....all we need is to do the right work. The results
will follow! Our righteous actions need no accounting how Yahya will. He
will surely conform somewhere along the way.

Imagine what Obama and these bunch will discuss at US/Africa
Summit. Nothing from our side is on the table. Or you want assume Obama and
his teams knows better? In fact few things coming out, for instance Biden
saying "......not doing for you but with you..... ". That could be
interpreted in lots of ways but I bet the rationale behind is aid/support
to perpetuate their stay in power. Any discussion how to effectively make
these nations Functional Institutional Democracy wouldn't take much time.
After all both sides has no vested interest in advocating for that. African
leaders are concern with their stay in power than to empower the people. US
average politician is more preoccupied with what domestic news will consume
in his favor more than what's right - especially for our people at distant
lands. Do we even have collective problems a summit will address ? And I
mean politically!

Regardless this job (out plight and the fixes) will have to be done by us
and not Obama/Biden. We could look for political leverage from them and
their sphere of influence but we have to do the actual work.

Lot has to be done but we have to have Formal Demand of what we're fighting
for. That's what I called 'A National Democracy Vision'. Otherwise all
these ad hoc activities produce little or none in terms of our quest.

Let's not make this struggle another 'yai-kompinin' but a real work on
serious issues.
