Is it because we're working on the wrong problem or no problem?

Is it because a call to rally behind one candidate is humanly unnatural?

Is single candidate in fact the issue?

I hailed from a village of less than 500 people and we still contest for alikalo-ship! Why wouldn't a nation with estimated 1.8million people!

Should we claim the republic or deposing the president? The former could lead to the later but not necessarily - however the former create a level playing field based on rules/orders of "we the people".

Claiming the republic also did not require anyone abandon your party or candidature for any elections; it's a work that dictates creating a nation that you, me and all else are treated same in accordance with sets of rules by the people usually through their rightful representatives.

Claiming the republic also do not have to wait for a new president - that work starts right away and most likely continue with whoever comes to office along our way

Above all it is this republic we equitably share - that's we will be different in everything else and that includes political parties., religion, moral/cultures, etc.

Over the years we convinced ourselves that someone dropping his desire to be a president is a common good for common interest. Can you begin to imagine if that someone is you or me. Why would it be your/my interest to drop off for someone else. Unnatural!!!!!!

All we need is simple and clear - A Republic managed Democratically (equal participation of all of us). Don't let anyone tell you X or Y has put in all his life, it's irrelevant in a republic and it creates a colt-like blind following. Our informed people will be able to make choices out of every set of Gambians. What we need to do is to make that play ground as level as humanly possible.

Tell us what you think is responsible for failing to unite.
