Please allow us to introduce the New Gambia Movement's leadership team below.

Dr. Omar Janneh, Ph. D. is a Senior Teaching Fellow at St George’s, University of London.  He obtained a BSc and PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Liverpool (UK) in 1997 and 2000, respectively.

Aisha Ceesay, LLB, is a Legal Executive in Turks and Caicos Islands. She got her LLB degree from the University of Buckingham, UK and was admitted to the Bar of England & Wales in 2001.

Dr. Atta Ceesay, Ph. D. is Assistant Professor and Nonprofit Track Coordination at the State University of New York- Buffalo State College. She holds a PhD in Public Administration from Rutgers University, Newark campus. Dr. Ceesay has extensive experience working with and in the private and nonprofit sectors.

Papa Secka, MSc., Chemical Process Technology. He is interested in the interface of Science, Technology and Society and the wider global geopolitics that define our world order. 

Dr. Pierre Gomez, Ph. D. is Associate Professor of Comparative Literature and Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, University of The Gambia. Dr. Gomez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and French from Cheikh Anta Diop University, Dakar (1998), an Advanced Diploma in Education from the University of Besançon (France), a Master of Arts, Master of Philosophy and Ph. D in Comparative Literature from the University of Limoges, France (2005).

Badou Gaye, BA (Hons) is Head of Information Technology at the Medical Research Council, Gambia. A Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Information Security Specialist, Badou got his Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in History from Fourah Bay College, the University of Sierra Leone and is currently writing a dissertation for his Master of Science in Information Technology.

Dr. Amina Sillah, Ph. D. is Assistant Professor of Public Administration at Towson University in Maryland, USA. She holds an MPA in Urban Government from Northern Illinois University and a Ph. D from University of North Texas with a specialization in Nonprofit Management 

Abdou Rahman Jallow, BA, got his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from the City University of New York. He is currently self-employed. 

Isha Savage, MBA, with a concentration in insurance risk management. She is currently pursuing higher education in academia.

Dr. Bala Saho, Ph. D is Assistant Professor of African History at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. Dr. Saho received his PhD in African history from Michigan State University and his MA from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in African Studies (2012, 2007).

Ndey Tapha Sosseh, MA, is managing editor and founder of the Women’s Torch online magazine. Ndey Tapha got her M.A in International Press Journalism (2004) from the University of Central England in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Dr. Bakary J. Sonko, Ph. D is a Consultant and Co-Director of a USA federally funded community program. He holds a BSc (Chemistry), University of Tripoli, Libya; MSc (Biochemistry), University of London, UK; PhD (Human Nutrition), University of Cambridge, UK and a Regulatory Affairs Certificate from RAPS University, USA.

Adama Jabang LLB, got her law degree from the University of Warwick, UK. She lives and works in London.

Dr. Baba Galleh Jallow, Ph. D. is Assistant Professor of African and World history at La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. He holds a Ph. D in History from the University of California at Davis (2011) and a Masters in Liberal Studies from Rutgers University, New Jersey (2005).
