Ha ha ha!!!! "Nying Tungo mang wuley folo. Abeh netemunkuringneh." I hear you Burama.  I hope they find better ways to communicate clearly to the citizens. Just a word of caution.

Thanks as always.

I’ll top you with another Mandinka saying/proverb - “Niin Feng Wulengo Ye Mbaa Fan, Niiyeh Tunngo Jey E-kaa Borileh”. Direct reading - If a red thing/object killed your mom, if/when you see a red object you run.
Personally is hard for me to give them excuse here. Both Sillah and Jawo knows better.
But even if I accept it to be a honest human error - this is still troubling in several ways
My understanding is that GRTS is under Gamtel. The later is a public corporation and not central government. Our government turning around and donating Gamtel anything defeat the basic purposes of carving away those institutions into public corporations. In addition if we are donating Gamtel which is operationally the richest/strongest of all the P/Corporations - seriously troubling. This is at a time every D1 generated by Gambia (on our own) 75b goes to run government. Only 25b is mathematically left for our taxpayers. We need to factor out how much of that is looted away or inefficiently deployed. It maybe be wise for Barrow and his team to focus on overturning those numbers than showing his generosity. Only 6 months ago we were all asked to donate his campaign. We know he’s poor. 4 months presidency earned no one, including Trump richest than a nation that appoints you.
Last for now! If Pa Nderi, Fatou Manneh, Demba Baldeh, etc. can run their own radios sustainably without public input - should Gambian taxpayers who have no 24/7 water or electricity continue to prop up these unsustainable ventures. Am saying this knowing there are several private radios. Yes in 1965 it maybe justified for government to support GRTS. Today - NO! We have so many important things for government to do than collecting and disseminating information. It leads to corruption and dictatorship. They should be divested……..
Thanks bro!

I hear you Burama. I think it is the messaging that has to be re-framed to reflect the reality. I believe the vehicles were donated by the government, and not necessarily by Adama himself. Yes I totally agree with you that if not checked, President Barrow may take,  as the saying goes in Mandinka .... translation.... "old road leads to old village". I think the information Minister should have his hands wrapped around this bad culture of the past. The motive is clear,  make the President look great in the eyes of the citizens, which is generally acceptable. The same was true in the case of Yaya Jammeh. However, we must never make anybody, President or otherwise look good by misleading, or to put it bluntly, lying to the Gambian people. Only in the Third World countries such deliberate acts of this magnitude will go down without serious consequences. I hope DA Jawo sets the record straight on this one.. I have no doubt that Adama sincerely want to leave a shiny legacy he can be proud of, corruption is certainly not one of them. Too early to judge? True.

Wow! Barrow is becoming Yahya quicker than Yahya became Yahya.
Maybe he should consider paying back struggling Gambian's who worked hourly wages to support his vandidature than begin philanthropy to Gambia that's paying his wages.
When did this guy get money more than his living cost to support his employer?
This is a hallmark of the beginning of another dictatorship and corruption.
Let's nip it at the bud - otherwise it will be too late. We're too worn out for another 22 or so years of fight.

As reported on GRTS a few days ago.  Yes Burama. According to Director General Sillah, the two are first of 10 vehicles ear marked for the department.
