Poursuivi devant un tribunal militaire par le ministre de la Défense Antoni Macierewicz pour son livre très critique ”Macierewicz et ses secrets” <https://rsf.org/fr/actualites/rsf-et-plusieurs-organisations-adressent-une-lettre-ouverte-au-ministre-polonais-de-la-defense>, qui met en lumière les liens entre le ministre et des personnes liées aux services de renseignement russes, Tomasz Piatek encourt jusqu’à trois années de prison. Depuis la publication de l’ouvrage, il a fait l’objet de violentes attaques de la part des médias proches du pouvoir et subit de lourdes menaces. ------------------------------ <http://medyascope.tv/> Le prix du “média” a été décerné à Medyascope <http://medyascope.tv/>, une télévision indépendante, lancée sur le web en 2015 par le grand journaliste turc Ruşen Çakır. Cette plateforme en ligne entend allier nouvelles technologies et meilleurs standards journalistiques pour rouvrir un débat public verrouillé en Turquie, un pays qui occupe la 155e place sur 180 au Classement mondial 2017 de la liberté de la presse de RSF. À travers des vidéos diffusées en direct puis disponibles en podcast, *Medyascope* redonne voix aux journalistes marginalisés par la répression et aux journalistes citoyens. Ses programmes se sont rapidement structurés et étoffés jusqu’à couvrir tous les sujets : politique, société, culture, sport… Certaines émissions sont disponibles en langues kurde, anglaise, allemande et française, à l’image du podcast hebdomadaire anglophone *This Week in Turkey*. ------------------------------ Le photographe iranien Soheil Arabi a été récompensé dans la catégorie “journaliste-citoyen”. Arrêté fin 2013 à Téhéran, maintenu pendant deux mois à l’isolement, Soheil Arabi a subi de mauvais traitements dans le but de lui faire avouer son implication dans la mise en place d’un réseau sur Facebook blasphémant l’islam et diffusant des informations critiques du régime. S’en est suivie une longue saga judiciaire, au cours de laquelle il a été successivement condamné à trois ans de prison, 30 coups de fouets et une lourde amende, puis quelques mois plus tard à la peine capitale, peine finalement annulée. En septembre 2015, il a été condamné à sept ans et demi de prison ferme. En juillet 2017, sa femme a été arrêtée puis libérée huit jours plus tard. Elle est toujours la cible de harcèlement et de menaces. Ever since its publication, Piatek has been the target of attacks in the pro-government media and has been getting serious threats. ------------------------------ <http://medyascope.tv/> “Media” category laureate Medyascope <http://medyascope.tv/> is an independent Web TV launched in2015 by leading Turkish journalist Ruşen Çakır with the aim of combining newtechnology with better reporting standards to reopen a public debate now largelysuppressed in Turkey, which is ranked 155th out of 180 countries in RSF’s 2017World Press Freedom Index. It uses videos that are broadcast online and are made available as podcasts to give a voice to journalists sidelined by the government’s crackdown, and to citizen-journalists. Its programmes are now quite structured and include sections on a wide range of subjects such as politics, society, culture and sport. Some of its programmes are available in Kurdish, German, French and English. They include a weekly English-language podcast called “This Week in Turkey.” ------------------------------ “Citizen-journalist” category laureate Soheil Arabi is a Tehran-based photographer who was has been imprisoned since December 2013. After his arrest, he was mistreated and subjected to solitary confinement for two months to force him to confess to involvement in creating a Facebook network that “blasphemed” Islam and criticized the government. A long judicial saga ensued in which he was initially sentenced him to three years in prison, 30 lashes and a heavy fine. A few months later, he was retried and sentenced to death, but the death sentence was eventually overturned and in September 2015he was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison. In July of this year, his wife was arrested and was held for eight days, and she is still being subjected to threats and harassment.
