Denffer, I would likle to share with u some transcriptions of du'a to say after Salaat (with permission) Lailaha illa llahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir, allhumma la maani'a lima a'taita wa la mu'tijia lima mana't, wa la janaf'u dsa-l dschaddi minka-l-dschadd (summary of the meaning: There is no God, but Allah, He is One. He doesn't have any partner, His is the reign and praise and He is capable of everything. Oh Allah, no one prevents [can] what You grant, and no one grants, what You prevent and him [her][with status]of significance, the significance does not benefit infront of You.) Mughirba b. Shu'ba conveyed, that Allah's messenger (S) used to say these words right after the As Salaah (prayer) La ilaha illa llahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir, la haula wa la quwwata illa bi-llah, la ilha illa llah, wa la na'budu illah ijjah, lahu-n'imatu wa lahu-l-fadlu wa lahu-thanaa'u-l-hasan, la ilaha illa llahu muchlisina lahu dina wa lau kariha-l-kafirun (summary of meaning- There is no God, but Allah, He is One. He doesn't have any partner, His is the reign and praise and He is capable of everything. There is no authority neither power except through Allah [with Allah], no deity but Allah and we obey [serve] none except Him. His is the mercy, His is the favor, and His is the beautiful glorification, no deity but Allah, exclusively for Him the deen [religion], and when the deniers of Iman hate it") Abdullah b. Zubari relates, that these were the words Muhammad (S) used to say after the Salaam of the As Salaah (prayer) La ilaha illa llahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu-l-mulku wa lahu-l-hamdu wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir For whoever repeats these words 100 times a day , they will serve him as a shield against the shaitan (devil) And according to the Sunna it is advised to say this du'a before leaving the house "Bismillah, la haula wa la quwwata illah billah" I am not translating the meaning of the latter two, which insh Allah can be extracted form the translations of the first 2 duas. wassalaam ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
