Claudette Kilkani is the first author for a volume on Conscious and
Unconscious in a series I am editing called Core Concepts in Therapy. She
(and I) are looking for the right second author for her - I'm not sure if
this is the right list to use for this request, because Claudette rightly
seeks someone at the cognitive behavioural end - but you might be able to
pass on the posting to any friends or colleagues who might be interested.
Being on e.mail is a requirement.

SEARCH FOR CO-AUTHOR FOR VOLUME ON "CONSCIOUS AND UNCONSCIOUS"

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: The Open University Press in the U.K. has agreed
to publish a series of sixteen books entitled "Core Concepts in Therapy."
Each volume in the series will focus on a particular "core concept" and
will have two co-authors (both practicing therapists) with distinctly
different orientations and, if possible, from different continents (in
order to include a multicultural dimension). The goals will be (1) to
present each concept across a range of theoretical models, comparing and
contrasting how these various approaches accept, reject, use, and/or
understand the particular concept(s) involved, (2) to explore how (or
whether) the different terms used by these approaches denote similar
concepts, and (3) to explicate the conceptual framework of each approach in
order to shed light on the way these concepts inform practice.

Each volume will be limited to 35,000 - 40,000 words and will be aimed at:
graduate-level students taking Masters' or Diploma courses in
counseling/therapy and post-graduate students who are beginning to look
more deeply at their own concepts as they encounter other models.

The co-authors will be expected to engage in co-operative, constructive
debate and dialogue, rather than in hostile criticism and argument,
although the last chapter of each book might adopt a critical attitude and
point to future developments of the concept across different orientations.
In addition, the team as a whole (composed of all the other authors taking
part in the project) will be available to each other to provide pointers on
other concepts in the literature of their own field and may be available to
check over passages in which such concepts from their own theoretical
models are described in other
