Try Dr. Ridha Arem's "The Thyroid Solution".
He explains that it is inadvisable for anyone
with autoimmune hypothyroidism - or even anyone
with a blood relative who has this problem -
to add any excess iodine to their diets.
Personally, I've found that what he says is
true. A large dose of iodine from an angiogram
(it's in the contrast media) markedly worsened
my Hashimoto's hypothyroidism and Thyroid Eye
Disease. Believe me, it's not worth the
suffering, unless thete's no way to avoid the
iodine exposure.
