One midday meal per day may be good a good thing from the point of view of
growth hormone release, especially during the night.  However, one also may
want to consider the very large insulin hit that comes with high calorie
meals (even with adequate amounts of fat).  On balance, it may be healthier
to eat two (or even three) smaller, (lower calorie) meals during the day
with no consumption in the hours before sleep.  This also provides a more
even supply of nutrients.  Occasional changes in this routine can be
included to generate some randomness
