Hello Robert.

I do not have much experience with Zoom meetings.

I have the Zoom application installed in my laptop.

The major problem for me, is sound quality and speech clarity.

I am a totally blind hearing aid user.

I am guessing that I heard maybe 60 per cent of what was said during this
Zoom meeting.

Some people sounded like they were on another planet, far far away in the
Milky Way.

Some people had tiny little sweaky voices that I could not hear.

A blind hearing aid user needs good sound quality and good speech clarity.

I was wearing my Phonak Compilot 2 device during the Zoom meeting.

My question to several folks who attended this Zoom meeting was the
following.

How can we better accommodate a blind hearing aid user during a Zoom
meeting?

The sighted folks didn't seem to know.

One way is to record the Zoom meeting in an MP3 audio file.

Another way is to receive a TEXT transcript of the Zoom meeting.

The meeting can also be discussed on an email discussion list.

The more information we receive, the better.
Gaston

Subject: [VICUG-L] Another question about accessing webinas & zoom

I've been, starting last week having a hard time accessing any of the
webinars or zoom meetings I have signed up for. The webinars are on a series
of platforms from webinarjam and a couple of others.

I usually get the error messages, or nothing at all, that say "please
reconnect your signal was lost" or something like "cann't access your
meeting".

I had my computer to the shop a couple of weeks ago and all of the icons for
zoom, webinarjam, and a couple of others are still on my desk top .

Any suggestions? Thanks for any help y'all can provide.I need to get this
resolved so I can start hosting my own webinars!

Robert
