"bg" refers to "blood glucose" typically in the context of blood glucose
testing results. Sometimes people refer to high bg's, low bg's or a
specific number.

Don't ever feel ignorant about these kind of questions, we all didn't
know what these abbreviations meant when we logged onto the net either.
