   As usual, you haven't been listening, Mr. Meecham. I don't believe in the
world view of Issodhos (he supported Buchanan, btw) but, on other lists he
has cogently expounded generally Libertarian-Conservative views on all
manner of subjects. And one of those views is one that folks a bit to his
right (John Birch Society, etc.) are always trumpeting, mainly that the U.S.
was founded and is still structured to be a Republic and not a Democracy.
  As a lefty, I find Issodhos more stimulating, than wcm's leftoid cliches.
