Sun and IBM are talking about making Java Accessible, not just Applets
(Java programs in a browser). Chucks "solution" is not. Java is for
all platforms; Chucks proposal is for Windows.

There is nothing cross platform about MSAA. It was not a matter of
copying - Sun took the parts of MS Accessibility API that made sense ...
most of it. Not surprising. A lot of work went into MSAA. Thanks.
But Sun turned around and improved on MS' Java Accessibility
interface. Great. Its Sun's job. This whole issue is a no-brainer.
Please leave it to Sun to drive access for Java. It is their business.
They are committed to making access happen and we at IBM are committed
to helping. And, btw, we are talking with Java
developers to ensure that they adopt Sun's accessibility - from the
beginning.

Nice that Chuck was listening with David ... But
it is non-professional for Chuck to spend the hour of a
presentation working his laptop. And brag about it!
As far as duplicating our (IBM) demo. That is nothing short
of ludicrous. Which demo was public? Chuck you should be ashamed.
