Hi:
I want to weigh in on one point. I strongly believe that multiple links
on one line pose no problem when the blind users has turned link
numbering. Clearly, without such a tool, they do pose a problem. My
point is that there's already an excellent way to deal with this issue,
and others could be devised. Let me also say that, for me, numbered
links a la Lynx is easier to use than WebSpeak.
Also, we cannot expect sighted users to forego the advantages of layout
design. Multiple links per line, frames, graphical doo dads, etc.,
will, and should be used for the vast majority that benefits from good
layout design. Such things need not preclude good assistive interfaces.
And, any effort to ban or restrain good visuals is simply doomed and
serves no one.
