EASI Webcast (recorded from the 2002 Accessing Higher Ground Conference)
Dr. Mary Ann Keatley's presentation: Computer-Assisted Training and
Cognitive Rehabilitation in Traumatic Brain Injuries
http://www.rit.edu/~easi

Discussions of assistive and/or adaptive technologies frequently overlook
cognitive disabilities in their discussions of the importance of
technology. Because these disabilities are frequently the result of
accidents, they are more common than we realize. This presentation is an
attempt to rectify the problem.

Dr. Keatley and her associates share their experience in working with
Traumatic Brain Injured individuals at the Accessing Higher Ground
Conference, Boulder CO in November of 2002. The presentation also covers
users with varying other cognitive disabilities as brain trauma is only one
type of cognitive disability.

In October, EASI will deliver its online course on Learning Disabilities
and Information Technology which connects to this presentation as one form
of learning disability. More on the course can be found at:
http://easi.cc/workshops/ld.htm

October EASI courses also include:
Beginner Barrier-free Web Design which is designed to make creating
accessible Web pages something any Web designer can do without becoming an
HTML guru:

and
Train the Trainer which provides support for staff who are expected to
train people with a variety of disabilities on a number of different
adaptive technology software applications providing lots of helps and tip
sheets:
