Historic Event for Education and Technology ... GLOBAL LEARN DAY
Billed as "The Greatest Interactive Educational Event in History", Global
Learn Day
(November 15/16) is on course to be exactly that. The recipe has been
written, and
the cooks are at work.
The ingredients are being sifted, moulded, stirred, and soon it will be
time to taste
the fruits of this international labor of love. This truly global event
will "follow
the sun" around the world, beginning at midnight GMT November 16 (7:00 PM
Eastern,
4:00 PM Pacific on November 15), and going non-stop for 24 hours.
John Hibbs' leading role in this labor of love began 7 years ago, with the
first
Global Learn Day. This year Hibbs is combining his efforts with those of
George
Buys of the "Talking Communities" virtual world. Global Learn Day VII will
feature
live interactive audio/visual presentations and interviews by many of the
world's
prominent educators. Not only will presenters speak and/or be interviewed,
but the
listening audience will be able to interact verbally.
Also billed as a "Virtual Education/Technology Trade Show", Global Learn
Day will
offer some very special side benefits for presenters. Not only will
speakers have
their agreed-upon time slot to present their vision, their experience,
their product,
their insight ... but they also will have their own "break-out" rooms where
those
who wish to "know more" can meet personally with them. No doubt, many
life-long
friendships and some solid networking will occur in these personal rooms.
This year's event is attracting a list of prominent educators from many
countries.
Not only that, but many "education-influencers" have agreed to participate
as well.
