We've always tolerated some Off-topic traffic as long as it is technical, at 
least tangentially.

But, what I don't like to see is non-descript subje ct lines.
I've recently seen several messages with a subject line of "off-topic" —— so 
please, be more descriptive.  It'll help those who aren't interested in that 
particular topic to just hit the delete key along the way; and it will help 
those of us who tend to skim to maybe stop and offer some help -- if we had 
known more about the subject in question.
