I have a 2 year old boy and a 3 year old boy. Neither are potty trained yet.
I tried in December (before we found out they both are celiac) with both of
them and for my eldest it seemes to be going well but he was pooping 5x a
day and that was a big problem so I just stopped the training. my youngest
was up to 10 times a day. So in Januray we found out they have gluten
allergies and ever since then they have been down to 1-2 poops a day, which
is just wonderful! Well my eldest it really ready to potty train and I want
to start him soon. But on Saturday we went to a BBQ and they both got into
wheat and for the past 3 days they have had horrible diahreah all day long.
now I really affraid that if they happen to get into wheat while i am potty
training and we are out somewhere not near a bathroom that my son will have
horrible accidents while we are out. One I could handle but when hes pooping
every hour I dont know what to do. does anyone have any advice? Im really
good about them getting no wheat but at the BBQ my 2 year old found a
pretzel on the ground and someone accidently gave my 3 year old a bite of
smore. and that alone has giving them the runs for 3 days!
Do I just keep him in a pull up when we leave the house? will it be harder
for him to learn to go in the potty and not his pants? I need to get one of
those shirts that say "I have a wheat allergy, dont feed me!" Thanks so much,
~Shannon
