I had a problem with my daughter from the day she was born regarding her diet. It wasnt until she was 9 months old and had been back in the hospital for 2 months of intensive testing that it was confirmed that she had a problem with any foods containing wheat, gluten, sugar, etc. When she was in a private program til age 3 it was relatively easy to control what she ate or drank, but once she entered public school it was a totally different ballgame. I sent in lists but to no avail until I got smart and sent in a short list. The teacher said no problem we will avoid these things for her, I said no you dont understand, read the heading these are the ONLY things she is ABLE to eat and drink, DO NOT give her anything not on this list. It worked quite well until my daughter was able to understand what the forbidden foods did to her and was able to avoid them on her own. Some times you have to deal with things in reverse to get cooperation from the school system.
