Hi everyone,
My 4 year old daughter and I were just diagnosed with Celiac about three weeks ago, so this is still pretty new to us. She will be starting Kindergarten (all-day) in a few weeks, so I'm looking for some advice. What information should I give to her teachers and the school? I don't want to overwhelm them, but I do need to make sure she isn't given a cookie at snack time! Is the school required to provide her with a gf lunch and snacks, or is that up me to send with her every day? Should the teacher discuss her needs with the class, or would that make her feel singled-out and different? Has anyone had any experience with these situations? I would appreciate any suggestions or experiences you could share with us.
