My mother was a type 2 diabetic and on insulin for two years before her
death.
As I understand it type 2 is where the body produces insulin but the cells
are resistant to absorbing it. It might help to look into information on
syndrome X and insulin resistance. Another source of diet ideas is the
catabolic foods list.
If you are lactose intolerant taking lactase tablets before drinking milk
will help some people. I hope some of these ideas will help. Alice
