Dear Sandy:

Everybody is different in their requirements for carbs. This depends
upon many things, body size, age, amt. of exercise, etc. My daughter
Brittany will require more carbs because she is also growing. This is
something that needs to be worked out with your dietitian.

When I saw how many carbs was in polenta I decided to avoid that because
there are probably other healthy choices Brittany would prefer when
eating something that high in carbs.

Your carb count is lower than what the American Dietitic Assn.
recommends, but I know there are many people out there that are doing
this. Hey, if this works for you - that's terrific. Plus, I personally
feel the ADA carb recommendation may be a little on the high side. I
shoot for middle of the road.

Good Luck!

Pam
