Well the mass media haven't been very helpful in getting out the Word,
     So........

The Anarchist Forum on Tuesday, September 10, 7:30PM, at the Brecht
Forum will be an open discussion of what has happened in the year since
9/11 and what needs to done about it. We seem be entering a world that
brings back the old spirits of imperial control and the tactics of J.
Edgar Hoover, but linked with new electronic tools and hyped up public
relations. We need to develop effective responses to the newly charged
oppressing world and to do that open, thoughtful discussion is very
helpful. Thus "Anarchists Review the Year since 9/11" an anarchist
town meeting.

Come and be ready to share your thoughts.

The press release is below:

On Tuesday, September 10, at 7:30pm, the Libertarian Book Club’s
Anarchist Forum will present an open Forum on the changes in the world
since 9/11. The Forum will be an anarchist town meeting in which all
are invited to participate. Questions that might be discussed are the
transformation of this nation from a republic to an empire; the
increasing abuse of people because of ethnicity or religious beliefs;
the growing influence of capital; the problems involved in getting the
world onto a path towards freedom and justice. Familiar anarchists
involved with previous fora will be invited to present their views but
everyone may speak out as long as we have the time.

The event will take place at the Brecht Forum on the 10th floor of 122
W. 27th St. [between 6th and 7th Aves.], a short walk from the 28th St.
1, 2, N, and R stops, the 34th St. B, D, and Q stop, and the 23rd St. F
and V stop.

LBC is requested. If you have questions, contact the LBC /Anarchist
