Alternative Formats Consultant Opportunity

Mobility International USA (MIUSA) is seeking a qualified individual to
revise and update an alternative formats chapter in one of our manuals. The
existing chapter was produced 4 years ago, and the primary goal of this
project is to update the content to reflect changes in alternative formats
that have developed since that time.

The consultant for this project must have knowledge of standards in the
production of large print, audiocassette tape, Braille, electronic formats,
multimedia and accessible website development. Additionally, MIUSA is
looking for a person who has solid knowledge of both common formats in use
as well as up-and-coming developments in the area of alternative formats.
The consultant should have a basic understanding of the major differences in
alternative formats preferred in the United States and those preferred in
other regions, or be willing to research this. This chapter is geared toward
an audience that has little, if any, knowledge of alternative formats, so
the consultant must be able to explain the material in a straightforward,
easy-to-understand way. People with disabilities are strongly encouraged to
submit their resumes for this project.
