Jim, how long does it take to start experiencing insulin resistance? Seems like the "twinkie guy" would have hit it long before 10 weeks was up.

The "boredom" diet?



You know, in the past when I've done close to zero carbs, what I've experienced is an eventual reduction in food volume simply because of boredom. More calorie reduction. So, that does make some sense to me. I suppose the same would be true of a diet consisting of only potatoes.

And he ate vegetables, typically a can of green beans or three to four celery stalks." Not exactly a whole food diet, but a reduced calorie diet. But, at least he ate some vegetables.



Todd, I seem to recall you having some success with a steak and potatoes diet. Did you dress up the steak and/or potato at that time?

Actually, I think he might suggest the opposite.
