Hi,

Yes AVG 7.5 will be losing the support, this usually means the main 
program. I didn't see anything about cutting out the definitions though.

You also can get the newer version 8.0 for free at this link 
*http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afe* at the bottom of the page is a 
note that you can get directly from AVG click on that link and it will 
download the latest FREE version. This is also compatible with Win 98.

Also there is a FREE version of Avast at their website also at this link 
*http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html* Avast has anti-spyware and 
a anti-root kit which AVG FREE does not.

The only real hassle is you need to re-register and get a new key every 
year, but that's not bad for FREE is it!
