     Not specifically in respect to the flood delusion, but in respect to
delusions in general, and the psychotic experience, Silvano Arietti wrote an
absolutely lovely, compassionate portrayal of this intended for lay people
and families of Schzophrenics.  It was published in the 70's I think, and was
called"Understanding and Helping the Schizophrenic".  IT is beautifully
written, and I refer to these descriptions often,  to understand the humans
esperience in a more general sense, as well.
