        Yes, this is the fundamental precept of psychoanalysis--it's not so
much what actually happened, but the nature of the fantasies that develop
in relationship to what happened.

        Psychoanalysis is about unconscious fantasy, and the impact of
unconscious fantasy upon behavior.
