Excuse me, but I think a lot of projection is going on here. I said that the
above fields were respected professions, but they are not psychoanalysis. I
just cannot believe that anyone would consider practicing psychoanalytic
psychotherapy, or any therapy, without having undergone it him or her self.
The only way one can understand this , however, is to go through the
process, so it is a moot point in any debate with those who have not. I have
a particular love for the process Freud birthed, so am sensitive to using the
term the same way "aspirin" has been used!
